CP3 in EU

CP3 Group, as consortium leader of an eTEN project, has European Commission approval and support to run a European initiative "Clearview" to help SMEs in 5 European countries to trade more efficiently, faster, quicker and cheaper.

The project "Clearview", will be managed by CP3 Group and will integrate a host of enablers and providers via eTen Clearview Web Address www.etenclearview.eu and will validate the Europe-wide availability of an electronic paperless trade service for SMEs in Europe connecting to global systems throughout the world.

As the project coordinator, CP3 Group will, with partners1 , provide a comprehensive turnkey solution based on paperless trade, supply chain compliance, security and competitiveness.

CP3 Group agreed in Dublin at the tenth UN/CEFACT forum on a joint UNCEFACT / CP3 Group roadmap "that the technology framework for the CP3 Group EU and Transatlantic initiatives will be based on UN/CEFACT standards and would provide the opportunity for a case study over an 18 month period commencing in June 2007"

SMEs will be able to communicate electronically throughout their supply chain, submit import/export documentation, customs clearance, comply with pre-arrival pre-departure, goods traceability, and have access to a full suite of On-Demand services which drive down the cost of business – effectively helping to provide a Single Window2 directly to SMEs. Most Companies currently have no control over foreign shipments and are over reliant on paper based systems which have a significant effect on their ability to trade more securely and cost effectively.

A full evaluation of the service as determined by the EU is available on request.

A summary advises ; "The proposed service is an excellent idea and will provide a low cost solution for SMEs and clearly addresses a contribution to EC policies and embraces UN/CEFACT standards as defined by the commission"

This EU initiative will run for 18 months in five European countries from the 1st June 2007.
